Wicketz Indoor League Update
Written by Administrator

2016 02 28 Wicketz Carlton 101-4 beat Livingston 71 all out, by 30 runs

A perfect start for Livingston saw their opening bowler Travis Chandler clean bowl Arsal Sohail from the first ball of the game. However, this bought Ruari MacPherson to the crease and his, either side of the retirement, was the defining innings of the match. Despite the tireless and often skillful Livingston bowling, MacPherson amassed 48 fluent runs, and was the catalyst in projecting the Carlton score into three figures. Livingston began their innings steadily, rotating the strike and finding the side walls well. Nevertheless, some excellent Carlton bowling really turned the screw in the middle overs, and as the required rate climbed the wickets began to fall. An heroic effort was made by Jarvis' Neil and Jack, but when Neil was the last man out in the final over Livingston were still some 30 runs shy, meaning Carlton should be commended for an impressive display and victory.
