The Under 13 game against Penicuik this week has already been conceded to Livingston and so the next match for the team will be at home against SMRH on the 20th June.

The Under 11 team travelled to RH Corstorphine on Friday night and won the game by 250 runs to 242, although technically the game had been conceded as we provided 3 players to the opposition and allowed a 14 year old to play.  Grant Gallacher, Duncan Appleyard and Jaget Tatineni all moved over to play for RCH and did themselves proud. Marc Vettese, having had a good season in the Kwik Cricket team, moved up to make his hardball debut.

RCH won the toss and elected to bat then captain Zane Hall struck with the very first ball of the innings, although the joy was shortlived as the opening pair grew in confidence and put on half of RCH's overall total. There was however, really good evidence of the boys gelling in the field by encouraging each other positively which really paid off with two excellent runouts.  Zane managed a further pair in the final over when it looked as though RCH were starting to get away. The batting performance for Livingston was pretty solid this week with only two wickets lost, the most entertaining display came from Amman Yakub with a couple of cheeky flicks behind the wicket. The next game is at home on 17th June against Murrayfield DAFs.

The Kwik Cricket team travelled to SMRH for the Under 10 festival, but the weather got the better of the event and only one game was played. The Young Kingfisher's were out in force again with a total of 11 players, so we again loaned three of the team to Murrayfield to ensure that everyone managed to have a game. Livingston comfortably beat Edinburgh South with an average of 6 runs scored per over. The highlights were Ryan really coming into his own with the bat this week and wickets from Hamish and Fraser and a maiden over from Abi. The next tournament is on Sunday 19th June at Carlton for the under 9s. Hopefully the weather will be much improved as the travelling army of parents were clearly not enjoying the rain and the cold!
