On Saturday Livingston 1s got their second win of the season.
On a day where the forecast suggested it maybe doubtful we would get a full game, the weather turned out to be glorious as did the play. Our local rivals, Fauldhouse won the toss and put Livi into bat. Kashif and Robert opened the batting for Livi, Kashif was looking back in form and putting the ball to all parts when he got an inside edge onto the wicket and was bowled with the score at 28 which was the highest opening stand so far for this season. Then our overseas player Hannah took responsibility and moved the score to 45 with Robert when he was caught at gully. This started a bit of a collapse, however Hamad came into bat and steadied the ship making a really composed 59, having a good partnership with Ramesh to steady the innings and also Naveen who came in with some late fireworks to take Livi to 180 for 8 in their 40 overs.

At the break captain Robert kept motivating his team. The opening pair of Kashif and Naveen put pressure on Fauldhouse especially Kashif who bowled a fierce spell to send the top order of Fauldhouse back to the pavilion and finished with 4-27 including 3 maidens. Fauldhouse had looked good in the 1st half of their batting where they were only 43-2 and all the credit goes to the bowlers and fielders of Livi who maintained their cool and kept the opposition under pressure as they lost their 3rd wicket at 60, from there Livi came at them really hard as they only managed to add a further 14 runs for their remaining 7 wickets wrapping up the innings for 74. The bowling was really good throughout with the other picks for Livi being Ramesh 2-7 in 2 overs and Shrey 3-3 in 2.3 overs.

The first XI play at Largo this weekend and are looking to maintain this great form.
