Club Improvement Day Saturday 7th April
Written by Administrator

2018 04 07 cricketforce

At the start of every season a lot of preparation is required to make the club ready for what we will hope will be a long summer of cricket. Traditionally we have run a club improvement day to align with the Cricketforce Scotland event.. This year we have started early and have already made some excellent improvements at the club by installing broadband, improving the drainage and installing a scorehut. There is still a significant amount of work required though to get us ready for the season and we will be running a club improvement day starting from 11.00 am on Saturday 7th April. We have plenty of jobs that need to be undertaken both inside and outside the club, and the majority do not need any technical expertise, all we need are willing volunteers from both the playing and social membership. If you are a player, please note that the outside nets need some groundwork and if we do not get enough support on preparing this area then there will be delays in the nets being available to use, so it is in your best interests to support this work.
Later in the day, Robert is holding a pre-season players get together to prepare for the new season and we should have a very special guest as Hannah Short our Overseas amateur will be back, more details to follow on this meeting later. In the meantime, your cricket club needs you from 11.00 am on the 7th April, please give us a few hours of your time.
