On the road with DV – *1
At the behest of a slightly befuddled webmaster, we extended an invitation to David Vettese to write a regular column, regaling tales of his travelling salesman experiences, which to us seem to be around the major lobster eating restaurants of the world. So here is DV's first offering for us....
Given that I may never be seen again on a cricket field because a) I isn’t awfully good, b) my arm is P*** and c) I am always away somewhere, the suggestion was made that I keep you posted on one of these three things.
So, my arm…it’s very sore and being right handed and married it’s getting no rest at all.
No seriously, our former chair Iain (soon to be a table) Murdoch has asked me to keep you posted on where I am, how big my last lobster was and just generally what like is the local amenities is crazy places like Regensburg in Germany or Vaduz in Liechtenstein. These and many other places are just towns and cities that I manage to sell a display or two in.

Ulm Cathedral - Its Big Innit! |
Recently, I found myself in Ulm…home of Johan Gambolputty de von Ausfern- schplenden etc etc etc of Ulm and the birthplace of Albert Einstein. I often ask myself (so that I can discuss it with my chums Besty and the Oompah Loompah in a long car journey), what is the tallest spire in Europe? Strasbourg? Cologne? Nope, neither, it’s actually Ulm. And my my it’s a big one.
Other than that the brownish Danube ran by the hotel I stayed in and the local sushi bar gets 4 Mega Fonzies for coolness. Lobster watch: forgive me father but it’s been a while since I ate a lobster.
Last one was at the Michelin starred “New Carved Angel” in Dartmouth back in April 23rd. Bit cheesed off as the wife got a bigger one than me. Where is the justice in this world? It still irks me.
