U13s show the seniors how it's done |

On a poor weekend for the 1’s, 2’s and Sunday XI, the juniors have shown the way by winning a run chase. Playing against SMRH, at their gaff, Livi won the toss and decided to field
After some solid bowling (some of it was a tad wayward at times) and some good fielding, the young guns were set 109 to win, off their 20 overs……..they won with 3 balls to spare and 3 wickets (4 if you count Jazim who, for the first time this season, had to retire once reaching 30)
After an opening partnership of 58 between Jazim & Andrew, from just 10 overs, the game was there for the taking, and with some lusty boundaries from Jeremy & Gregor and some useful runs from Matt, Jack, Thomas, Zishan and Connor, it was left to Gregor to hit the winning runs to the delight of his noisy team mates (and parents).
2nd XI players be warned……there are one or two here who will be pushing for places in the 2’s in next couple of seasons – not just Jazim….and that’s not including the likes of Fizan, Kashan, etc.
