England and Scotland have been playing each other at rugby union since 1871 when Scotland beat England in the first ever rugby union international. A total of 135 matches have been played, with England having won 75 times, Scotland 42 times and eighteen matches have been drawn. We have to go back to 2008 for a Scotland victory in the Calcutta Cup.
