Sunday 15th January saw us playing our first indoor cricket six match, a friendly against Murrayfield DAFs. 2 games were played unfortunately we lost both, but we certainly learnt as we went along and became more competitive.
The first game DAFs batted first and scored 149 in their 10 overs, there were a couple of good catches taken by Jack Hilton, however DAFs showed their experience. Our reply got off to a poor start with Bobby being run out in the first over for 7. The reply was stabilised by Kirk, Senthil & Raymond however we were comprehensively beaten being bowled out for 71 in the 7th over.
The 2nd game was more competitive with Connor & Kirk opening the batting, Kirk eventually going on to hit an aggressive 50 and the team scoring 107-4 in their 10 overs. Connor took on Bobby's mantle as the umpire with the impulsive finger! There was some good bowling with Jack picking up a couple of wickets with his slow right armers and the fielding was far more aggressive, Raymond making some good stops behind the stumps, however DAFs eventually eased past us in the 9th over.
Well done to everyone who took part in what was a really good fun evening and particular thanks to Kirk who shared his knowledge of the game and was a great help on the night.

The son of 'Hurricane Bawbag' has ripped through West Lothian today, there has been severe damage to the covers at the ground along with a sight screen and a cage. The initial diagnosis does look to be terminal this time for 2 of the 3 covers. The strong winds in December had already collapsed the one remaining old sight screen.
Other known casulaties are Jim's greenhouse, Jim's fence, Darren's garden shed, the Centre's roof and some uprooted trees at DV's folks's house.
