Home matches are played at Dresselrigg, our home since the start of 1999 season. Dresselrigg is located in the Murieston district, in the southside of the town.
The large flat ground, has yet to achieve its full potential, but already, boasts a 10 strip square and artificial strip, sightscreens and netting facilities. The pavilion itself is an interesting conglomoration of changing rooms and ‘clubroom/tearoom’ fashioned out of old porta-cabins and sticky back plastic.
The square itself is looking much better as every year goes on, mainly due to the hardworking groundman, Jim Wilson. The (notorious) wet Livingston weather also plays a major factor in the quality of the outfield and wicket, but verti-draining and tyning over the last few years has seen an improvement in the drainage.
Plans are in place to construct a permanent pavilion that the ground so richly deserves, and all things going to plan, then it should be in place sometime over the summer/autumn 2003. David Hopkins has done a tremendous job so far in progressing the plans to this stage and thanks go to him. It will be very strange to lose the 'uniqueness' of the portacabins, but the lure of electricty, water, showers and a comfortable area for teas and aftermatch hospitality is very welcoming. (NB as from August 2004, a new permanent pavilion is now in place.. see the story elsewhere on the site).
Directions

-
Turn 1st left just on the brow of the hill into Bellsquarry South Rd.
4. At end of the road, turn left onto Murieston Road.
5. Take 1st left (over the railway bridge) into Murieston Valley Rd. The ground is on the Right hand side after Fiddoch Drive.
If not driving, then best bet is a train to Livingston South train station. Trains leave from Waverley, Glasgow Central and Motherwell. On coming down the platform steps, head right up past Murieston Village Hall (its the building that is beautifully hidden by 10 foot high iron spiked fences!). At the top of the path there is a roundabout. This is the end of the Murieston Valley Road. Walk along Murieston Valley Road, passing houses and streets Rothes Drive, Roy Drive, etc and the ground is on your left hand side. It should take around 10 mins to walk from station max.
Parking
There is ample parking within the ground.
