The first XI made a big step toward promotion with a comfortable home victory against Drummond Trinity.
Livingston: 179 all out (46.3 overs)
Drummond: 72 all out (35.1 overs)
Livingston made a good start having been put into bat on a damp pitch. Robert Bowering opened on debut for the firsts, grew in confidence as the innings progressed, but holed out for 12. Livingston were 114-1 mid way through the innings, and poised to build another big total. However, Silky and Anand were both out shortly after the drinks break, sparking a collapse to 141-8. Krishna provided an entertaining cameo from No. 10.
Drummond were immediately in trouble when both Senthil and Ramesh both struck in their opening overs. Further wickets to Mark and Jim left Drummond struggling on 44-4. With Navid and Jim giving nothing away, Drummond just rolled over and died as the game, and with it their chances of promotion, slipped away from them. They were all out in the 36th over giving Livingston a 107 run victory. Darren did a good job as the firsts 5th keeper of the year, taking the only catch of the innings, and conceding just 3 byes. This was probably the staightest we have bowled all year, with 8 wickets bowled and 1 LBW. By contrast, Drummond took 8 catches.
We are now 2 wins clear of 3rd place, but unless Clackmannan slip up, or the weather intervenes in our favour, we can not catch them. If we win our remaining 3 games, and Clackmannan win their final 2, we will end up 0.33% (1 bonus point) behind them. And we only scored 70 runs when they beat us at Dresselrigg.

Very impressed with Livi youngsters this weekend...in both XIs.
I need not say anything about the skipper and Jim as their figures speak for themselves.
Come on the mates from the executive estates!
I didn't see the 6. I was having a slash.
