Livi 2 lose in local clash
Written by Darren Hall
Fauldhouse 2's 180 all out
beat
Livingston 2's 130-9
Livingston won the toss and invited Fauldhouse to bat. Mackay and Anwar opened the bowling  and both bowled tightly but no breakthroughs came until the 20th over when Clark picked up Leitch(20) with the score on 56. The fielding was ragged at best and Livingston failed to build pressure as the ball constantly beat the fielders/passed straight through them. Fauldhouse gave away wickets steadily through the 45 overs with JACK Hilton picking up the last wicket with the last ball of the innings.
Franks 3-30
Hall 3-47
Anwar 2-28

In reply the 2's got off to a quick start before Hall(16) was cleaned bowled followed by Heaney next over for 8. Anwar and Franks batted for 12 overs before Franks(9) was bowled, quickly followed by Thomas. Jack And Faisal batted for 11 overs  before Anwar(34) was caught in the 34th over and Livingston still 100 runs behind. Jack marshalled the tail very well and scored a big 6 on his way to his highest senior score.Livingston scampered a quick single to pinch another batting point with the last ball leaving Hilton unbeaten on 34 and Young on 6. WELL DONE JACK

The positive spin to put on this weekends results are that the 2 teams chasing us in 4th and 5th lost worse than we did so we pull a little futher away from them, a win is required this Saturday against Largo.
