Results, Results and More Results
Written by Administrator

Its another Red Letter Day for all you sad statisticians out there.....  Thanks to the studious bookkeeping of Jim, (and his willingness to release the blue book of facts to the webmaster), a positive plethora of results have been added to the website.

Every 1st XI result since 1982. every Sunday match, every Midweek Match (Did you know we used to play in the Edinburgh Midweek League? and were runners up in the 1986 Metcalfe Midweek Cup?), and every other match played by the club since its first season.

(and before anyone gets upset, the results for the 2nd XI League games are generally not available.. Jim does not have those records, No one knows who has. So 1997, part of 1996, part of 1990, 1989, 1988, 1986 and 1985 are available, but all other years (apart from 1982, 1983, 1984 1991 and 1992 when there was no 2nd XI) are not.

Any errors or omissions then please let me know.

(OK I know that most of you don't actually care about this info, but hey I'm, happy so leave me alone.... Smile )

1993/07/18 Livingston v Holy Cross. Home. Friendly. Won by 51 runs .
Livingston 146. Holy Cross 95

I played in this match against Jim Wilson. I scored 20 for HX, Shazad Gul kept wicket (he said "i gues you don't open the batting much" to which i replied "i guess you don't keep wicket much") and Ayaz bowled leggies. My dad came in at number 6 for HX. Coco McGill was the skipper.

Some balloon bowled a donkey drop at me which i hit back to him for a C&B.

Ah, mammories...

aye, another typical Bowlers wicket...... Its noticeable how the batting records in the club have been on the decline and the bowling records on the ascendancy since the clubs leading bowler took over as head groundsman.......;-)
(only kidding Jim!!)

I know that Annandh!! Its bad enough that my eyesight is going never mind my mental state as well!! In my mind I am still a young man as well!!

As for the ground... well I just would like my edges to go to the boundary and not be a scary single to slip!! Its purely selfish!!
