Rain,Rain,Rain
Written by Darren Hall

The 1st team fixture was cancelled early on Saturday. The 2nd Team managed to start a game again without finishing it for the 3rd time this year. In a 3.5 second break in the drizzle the game was started with West Lothian inviting Livingston to bat.

The 'new' opening pair of Crichton and Heaney did there jobs by seeing off the West Lothian opening bowlers before Crichton lost his wicket quickly followed by Mcdonald. Hall joined Heaney at the crease and the pair reached 94-2 at 26 overs before it was decided to call it a day with no let up in the light rain with Livingston in a strong position. Colin was dragged off the pitch (he wanted to carry on) unbeaten on 44*, with Hall 22*

Cheaney would have stayed out there all day. We had to leave the pitch useable, so came off before it was wrecked.
Chris has an app for his phone when he was umpiring, it showed Cheaneys wagon wheel, also the 'manhattan' and 'the worm' amazing. Nice to have the official photographer back with camera today also.

dazz.... you need to add all the Livi batsmen into the scorecard, other wise their appreareance won't be counted in the career records....

also the result was not a draw.. it was Match Abandoned.. Draws in the East League went out of vogue a few years ago...

These photos were taken from within the club lounge using 200mm nikon zoom lens put to test in bad weather condition. Not bad pics i think.

Iain, I did chuckle at your description of my shot in the photo, it was a controlled 'smack to cow corner'.

That may be so Dazza but the guy at gulley with his hands awaiting your mistake is clearly saying "moooo".

Check out the slip guy with the Panama that looked as if his dug had half eaten it. If we had thought b4 hand we could have had a fundraising "spot the ball"
