Livingston Cricket Club are one of the few non Cricket Scotland League (ie National League) clubs in the East of Scotland who provide Junior coaching, development and opportunities to play age group cricket and we are rightly proud of this.
Our vision and commitments include:
- To introduce young people to cricket, ensuring they enjoy the game and benefit from quality instruction from Livingston’s qualified coaching team.
- To foster partnerships between young people, the schools, the community and the club.
- To provide the Local Schools and West Lothian Council with the support necessary to include cricket within the Active Schools Programme.
- To implement long term player development principles to maximise the development of young players at Livingston Cricket Club.
- To have members of Livingston Cricket Club junior section selected for representative cricket within and beyond the East of Scotland.
- To have as many members of Livingston Cricket Club junior section playing for the Senior sides on Saturdays and Sundays as possible. “If they are good enough, then they are old enough”!!
- To Increase the number of boys and girls involved in cricket.
- To encourage the young people and their families to become active members of the club and play a full role in the playing and social development growth of the club.
