The U13 league season is in full swing. Pre-Season indoor training for the squad was very well attended and gave the lads a boost going into the pre-season friendly against West Lothian - landing a relatively comfortable win at Boghall.
The league Season started with a heavy defeat to Edinburgh, in Leith.....followed by a comfortable win at home to Fauldhouse. Since then, not quite so good with a Cup defeat at the 'Rigg to Watsonians and a loss to RH Corstorphine in Edinburgh.
However, the signs are promising, a clear improvement since last season and with the likes of Jazim Sohail playing at senior level and being in the Scotland U13 squad....the future is certainly bright. Watch out 2nd XI, there are plenty of young guns nipping at your heels in the next couple of years - come along and watch the likes of Jazim, Andrew, Matthew, Jack, to name but few, you might learn some good technique off them.
June sees further league games each Monday evening, with home games coming up against Heriots and Carlton.....and Wednesday evening outdoor training...check the Fixtures List from the menu, for the details of forthcoming Junior games.
The Kwik cricket kids have also started with good number attending the training sessions on Wednesday nights. Look out for the upcoming Kwik Cricket festivals starting.
