The 2's fielding a weakened side. Hammer wins toss yet again - surely a record for consecutive wins of the toss. Musselburgh bat on quick Loretto outfield. Thanks to some poor fielding, dropped catches and hard running by the Musselburgh batsmen, they amass a whopping 223 but they should have got a lot less. YamYam pick of the bowling with 2 wickets, with good contributions from Crazy Legs Fenwick and Silky Wilcock.
In reply SpinKing and Yam Yam race out of the blocks, scoring 60 odd in no time before Yams is out LBW (boo hiss). Jazim gets a golden duck very next ball (move yer feet little man and close the gap!). Debut boy Sunny and SpinKing rebuild innings, the SpinKing playing like a cat with nine lives. Sunny out after a good 30 odd, Spinking out soon after with 94, rest of innings peters out apart from cameo efforts of Crazy legs Fenwick and Silky at the end. We end up on 185 from our 45 overs
Maximum batting points for the 2's and a good fightback by the 2's but in the end not enough. The better team won but who knows what the outcome would have ben had our fielding been that much tighter.
