Fadass Livi U15's Fadass!!
Written by Iain Murdoch
Livingston U15's recorded an emphatic 9 wicket vistory over Heriots U15s at a sunny and freezing Goldenacre last night. A result made all the more impressive, as they did it with only 9 men and continued the clubs good record against Heriots at all levels.

Skipper Matthew Jepson won the toss and asked Heriots to bat. Heriots raced to 32 off 4 overs, before the first wicket fell.... Andrew Wilcock running out the oposition skipper with a direct hit from cover. He then raised the bar even more with a fine hat trick. Clean bowling 3 Herioters with the first 3 deliveries of his second over. Wickets continued to fall, with Greg Murdoch showing fine control in a tight spell of 2 overs, taking 2 wickets for the loss of only 2 runs. Jack Hilton picked up a straightforward caught and bowled, and skipper Jepson and Jeremy Franks combined for another run out as Heriots ground to a halt on 88 for 9 after 20 overs. Tom Hilton and Jeremy Franks both bowled fine spells in restricting Heriots.Connor Clark provided another impressive display of wicket stopping behind the stumps. Zach Stewart and Cameron Love both scurried and scarpered around the field in an energetic display of fielding.
In reply Livingston lost Jack Hilton early, leaving Andrew and Jeremy to caress the score along to 26 after 10 overs. Despite the concern on the boundary over the run rate, they both knew when to accelerate and both showed great ability in dispatching the bad ball for boundaries when it mattered. Two successive boundaries from Jeremy in the penultimate over meant that 5 were needed off the last and Jeremy crashed the 3rd ball throgh mid on for the winning boundary to the delight of the frozen but happy watchers.

A good team performance, with an impressive all round display from Andrew and a match winning performance from Jeremy, who has improved beyond all recognition as a cricketer in the last year, and who will be a huge talent within the club if he maintains this progress. A prime example of reaping the benefits of the good coaching and time xYDO put in.....

Stenhousmuir in the cup next up tonight. Lets get up and cheer the boys on at Dresselrigg.
