Musselburgh 2's 187-3 beat Livingston 2's 76 all out
Livingston hosted Musselburgh at Musselburghs home ground with 'the rigg' being too wet to be prepared this week.
Losing the toss Musselburgh were asked to bat. An early wicket in the 7th over saw a fine catch from Wilcock snr from the bowling of Hall, with no further break throughs untill the 17th over when Hall bowled the other opening batsman with the score on 63.
The 3rd and final wicket was Chris Reids 1st competitive wicket for the club with Hall taking a catch close in, this could have been the innings over as by this stage Livingston had already dropped 7 catches,Musselburgh batsmen continued to be dropped another 3 times before posting 187, with Kumar 59 not out and Howarth 55 not out.
D Hall 9 2 20 2
N Fenwick 9 0 49 0
T Hilton 7 0 32 0
C Reid 5 0 26 1
K Wadood 9 1 23 0
R Wilcock 6 0 36 0
In reply the makeshift batting line up failed to deliver a descent reply with Hall scoring 35 the only one making double figures. Another long occupation of the crease by Falconer saw Livingston to their only batting point.Livingstons tail was mopped up in 10 deliveries by 14 year old 'pinky' tufail who had figures of 1.4 0 4 3
At this early stage of the season the 2's find themselves looking up at all but one of the teams in division 6, lets hope the only way is up!!
