dunfermline wanderers 101 all out
lost to
livingston 2's 102-7
on a soggy but playable Dresselrigg top tosser won the toss again and put Dunfermline in to bat
Tight bowling and sharp fielding was the order of the day and we didn't fail to deliver, with Dunfermline unable to score freely from any of the Livingston bowlers and great stopping and catching all day despite a wet ball after a couple of rain breaks. Eventually getting all wickets for 101 runs in 44.4 overs
wadood 9-5-7-1,hilton 4-0-13-0,baker 9-1-18-2,hammersley 9-3-30-3, heaney 7-2-14-1, hall 6.4-0-12-3.
In reply wickets fell at regular intervals 2nd,5th,10th and 13th overs with 34 runs on the board.a 5th wicket stand between franks and hall took the score to 71 before both were out in succesive deliveries.baker and wadood took the score to 99 before wadood was bowled to leave hammersley and baker to see us to the finish in 34.3 overs. franks 23,hall 16,wadood 14,wilcock 10, baker 10*.
nailbiting at times(ask cheaney) but a hard fought and deserved first victory for the 2's
