Livingston continued their fine run of form with a comfortable victory at Murrayfield DAFS.
Murrayfield DAFS II: 98 (33.3 overs)
Livingston: 99-3 (19.5 overs)
Navid won the toss and put the home team in on a pitch that showed wickedly inconsistent bounce. Senthil and Shiv found a lot of early movement, combined with accuracy at good pace. Although their opening spell brought only one wicket to Shiv, they kept the pressure up and the run rate down. Feraz bowled with pace and aggression at first change. Mark got the ball swinging, and as the batsmen tried to push the run rate, took wickets steadily throughout. The fifth wicket came in unlikely fashion as Kirk through down the stumps as the batsman wandered out of his crease. Jim and Silky pollished off the tail
Livingston were barely troubled chasing the modest target. Anand again batted with consumate ease, falling 6 runs short of a third consecutive 50. Kirk and Lakhmir saw out the win 5 overs before the drinks break.
